Description of Fault code P1782

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE

Possible failuer P1782

• Throttle position sensor signal line open / short
• Supply line for sensor open
• Throttle position sensor failure

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• A malfunction is detected when the voltage from the throttle position sensor < 0.09V for at least 10 seconds

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Vehicle speed from CVT speed sensor >13km (8mph)

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• A malfunction is detected when the voltage from the throttle position sensor < 0.09V for at least 10 seconds

MIL Status

• America/Canada Spec ON
• Europe Spec ON
• Japanese Spec OFF
• General Spec OFF
