Description of Fault code P1783

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH VOLTAGE

Possible failuer P1783

• Throttle position sensor failure
• Ground line for sensor open

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• A malfunction is detected when the voltage from the throttle position sensor > 4.93V for at least 10 seconds.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Vehicle speed from CVT speed sensor >13km (8mph)

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• A malfunction is detected when the voltage from the throttle position sensor > 4.93V for at least 10 seconds.

• America/Canada Spec ON
• Europe Spec ON
• Japanese Spec OFF
• General Spec OFF
