Description of Fault code P2797

ATFP PERFORMANCE

Possible failuer P2797

  • ATFP Motor Failure (high Friction)
  • Oil pump Failure (high Friction)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

  • ATFP control unit monitors torque and velocity of the Motor based on the current of draw of the running ATFP Motor.
  • The malfunction is detected when the ATFP motor can't rotate against the friction.
  • There is a difference in the ATFP motor between actual rotation and commanded rotation at least 5 seconds, and a malfunction is detected.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

  • Shift lever position is D
  • Warm up the engine, drive in D range, stop the vehicle ,and go into idle stop.

Clear Fault codes Conditions
