Description of Fault code P2798

ATFP U/V/W phase LINE (s) CIRCUIT LOW

Possible failuer P2798

• ATFP U, V or W-phase LINE CIRCUIT is open.
• ATFP Motor Malfunction
• ATFP control unit malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• ATFP control unit monitors the current of rotating ATFP Motor.
• A malfunction is detected when the actual current is over the specified value in the ATFP motor for at least 5 seconds.
• ATFP driver monitors and detects the malfunction. If the ATFP driver detects the malfunction, and it sends the result to PCM.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Shift lever position is D
• Warm up the engine, drive in D range, stop the vehicle ,and go into idle stop.

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• ATFP control unit monitors the current of rotating ATFP Motor.
• A malfunction is detected when the actual current is over the specified value in the ATFP motor for at least 5 seconds.
• ATFP driver monitors and detects the malfunction. If the ATFP driver detects the malfunction, and it sends the result to PCM.

MIL Status

• America/Canada Spec OFF
