Description of Fault code P16A6

ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) INTERNAL CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

Possible failuer P16A6

• Engine Control Module (ECM) internal injector drive LSI

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• When the status resistor of the Injector drive LSI is monitored on the CPU, the LSI internal operation error (parity error) is detected.
• The LSI internal operation error (the program flow error) is detected.
• The cylinder alternative information during the injection is abnormal.
• The injection time is longer than the acceptable maximum period.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Once each Cam Revolution

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• The cylinder alternative information during the injection is abnormal.
