Description of Fault code P1028

INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL (IMRC) SOLENOID VALVE CIRCUIT OVERHEAT

Possible failuer P1028

• Engine Control Module (ECM) internal high temperature
• IMRC Valve Actuator malfunction
• Over voltage (Mis-replace to 24 V battery, etc.)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• When the overheat is monitored by the diagnostic circuit attached the drive circuit on the active drive circuit, the overheat is detected more than a specified value for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• IG ON (II)
