EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) COOLER BYPASS CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE CIRCUIT OPEN

Possible failuer P245A

• EGR Cooler Bypass valve actuator Electromagnetic Solenoid (Open)
• EGR Cooler Bypass valve actuator control harness (Open)
• Engine Control Module (ECM) internal diagnostic circuit failure
• Engine Control Module (ECM) Sub Relay (OFF failure)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• The resistance of about 2.2 kΩ on the EGR Cooler Bypass valve actuator control line is detected for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Continuously

• The resistance of about 2.2 kΩ on the EGR Cooler Bypass valve actuator control line is detected for a set period of time.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
