Description of Fault code P2158

CVT SPEED SENSOR MALFUNCTION

Possible failuer P2158

• CVT SPEED SENSOR FAILURE
• Supply line for sensor open / short
• Ground line for sensor open / short

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• A malfunction is detected when Vehicle speed measured by the CVT speed sensor < Vehicle speed measured by the vehicle speed sensor for the speedometer * 0.55 at least 10 seconds.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• The vehicle speed of the vehicle speed sensor for meter > 13km (8mph)

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• A malfunction is detected when Vehicle speed measured by the CVT speed sensor < Vehicle speed measured by the vehicle speed sensor for the speedometer * 0.55 at least 10 seconds.

MIL Status

• America/Canada Spec ON
