Description of Fault code P2080

EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE (EGT) SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT RANGE PERFORMANCE PROBLEM

Possible failuer P2080

• EGT SENSOR 1 output voltage shifting

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• Excessive deviation between estimated EGT in front of Catalytic Converter and EGT1 is detected during 15 seconds.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Engine running.
• ECT1 ≥ 70 ºC
• VEHICLE SPEED ≥ 50 km/h
• ENGINE SPEED ≥ 1500rpm

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• Excessive deviation between estimated EGT in front of Catalytic Converter and EGT1 is detected during 15 seconds.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
