Description of Fault code P2009

INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL (IMRC) SOLENOID VALVE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

Possible failuer P2009

• IMRC Actuator
• IMRC Actuator harness (Short to ground)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• During the inactive drive circuit, the short to ground of the drive line that minute current can be drawn off by another diagnostic circuit is detected for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• IG ON (II) and the OFF direction of the IMRC energization

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• During the inactive drive circuit, the short to ground of the drive line that minute current can be drawn off by another diagnostic circuit is detected for a set period of time.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
