Description of Fault code P1704

CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH A/B CIRCUIT INCORRECT CORRELATION

Possible failuer P1704

  • Clutch switch A, B
  • Clutch switch signal line (Open, short to ground)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

  • The active Clutch switch A in back is detected with the inactive Clutch switch B in front for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

  • Continuously

Clear Fault codes Conditions

  • The active Clutch switch A in back is detected with the inactive Clutch switch B in front for a set period of time.

MIL Status

  • Glow ON

BMW Key Programming F10, All keys Lost
