OBD II Fault Code P1623 :

Description of Fault code P1623

ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT UNEXPECTED VOLTAGE

Possible failuer P1623

  • Engine Control Module (ECM) internal IC damage for the ignition switch signal input
  • Engine Control Module (ECM) Main Relay stuck ON
  • Engine Control Module (ECM) Main Relay coil harness short to ground

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

  • The low level of the ignition signal is detected at initializing Engine Control Module (ECM). (The Engine Control Module (ECM) started without input of the ignition signals.)

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

  • The Engine Control Module (ECM) is initialized
  • The Engine Control Module (ECM) reset by the program malfunction and the Engine Control Module (ECM) internal hardware malfunction isn't executed.

Clear Fault codes Conditions

  • The low level of the ignition signal is detected at initializing Engine Control Module (ECM). (The Engine Control Module (ECM) started without input of the ignition signals.)

MIL Status

  • Glow ON
