OBD II Fault Code P1405 :

Description of Fault code P1405

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE CIRCUIT OVERHEAT

Possible failuer P1405

  • Engine Control Module (ECM) internal (Extremely high temperature)
  • Over voltage (Mis-replace to 24 V battery, etc.)
  • EGR valve harness short between High side and Low side.

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

  • When the overheat is monitored by the diagnostic circuit attached the drive circuit on the active drive circuit, the overheat is detected more than a specified value for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

  • Continuously

Clear Fault codes Conditions

MIL Status

  • Check Engine Light ON
