Description of Fault code P1384

GLOW PLUG CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

Possible failuer P1384

• Glow Relay (Stuck ON)
• Glow Control Unit diagnostic line (Harness open)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• The Glow Control Unit is the diagnostic line low without the indication of the Engine Control Module (ECM). But when the Glow power current continues by stuck contact and the control line is open, the diagnostic line becomes the high level. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the diagnostic line with no power indication for the Glow Control Unit, the logical high level of the diagnostic line is detected for a set period of time.

• Continuously
