MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR SIGNAL LOWER THAN EXPECTED

Possible failuer P1102

• MAF Sensor output failure

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• The ratio between the target value of the MAF Sensor and the output value of the sensor is monitored in the EGR inactive field. (Amount of monitor = Sensor output value / Presumed value)

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Baro > 0.000 hPa
• 70deg < Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT)
• IAT1 variation < 10 degC
• Fuel injection quantity < 0 mg
• 90 < Intake Shutter position < 110 %
• 0 < Swirl position < 90 deg
• EGR complete shutting > 1000 msec
• Engine running
• 2 sec > Engine starting
• 1500 < Ne < 3500 rpm
• P0102, P0103, P1102, P1103, P1401, P2228, P2229, P1069, P0045, P0047, P0048, P1027, P0107, P0108, P0116, P0126, P0117, P0118, P0403, P0489, P0490, P1405, P0097, P0098, P2199, P0652, P0653, P2004, P2006, P2008, P2009, P2010, P1028, P2016 and P2017 are not detected.

Clear Fault codes Conditions
