Description of Fault code P0344

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR INTERMITTENT INTERRUPTION

Possible failuer P0344

• Camshaft pulse (Phase gap, chip off the tooth, tooth damage)
• Timing chain (Stretch)
• Sensor coupler (Loose connection)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• Based on the Crankshaft Position pulse, the error of the Camshaft pulse phase and number are detected more than the specified time for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• No error for the Crankshaft Sensor
• Ne > 670 rpm
• The corresponding period of the Crankshaft and the Camshaft are normal

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• Based on the Crankshaft Position pulse, the error of the Camshaft pulse phase and number are detected more than the specified time for a set period of time.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
