Description of Fault code P0339

CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR INTERMITTENT INTERRUPTION

Possible failuer P0339

• Crankshaft pulse (phase gap, chip off the tooth)
• Crankshaft Position Sensor harness (loose connection)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• The error of the Crankshaft Position pulses is detected for a set period of time.
• No gap which should appear once for each Crankshaft revolution is detected for a set period of time.
• Above the specified Ne, the error of the gap length is detected for a set period of time.
• Above the specified Ne, the too short range of Crankshaft Position pulses is detected for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Ne > 750 rpm
• Ne < 400 rpm

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• The error of the Crankshaft Position pulses is detected for a set period of time.
• No gap which should appear once for each Crankshaft revolution is detected for a set period of time.
• Above the specified Ne, the error of the gap length is detected for a set period of time.
• Above the specified Ne, the too short range of Crankshaft Position pulses is detected for a set period of time.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
